    Hi Community,

I don't recall us talking about divestitures previously, so I'm very interested how many of you deal with this in your M&A work. Has anyone worked on a deal where the purchasing entity acquired a business with a line of business they didn't want but also couldn't be carved out of the deal? The impact then being exploring a divestiture shortly after acquisition. This can be a mess with employment laws depending on where in the globe employees are located. How did you navigate change knowing just as you're welcoming new employees in, you'll likely be saying goodbye soon?

    Becky -

While I haven't experienced this specific scenario, I know one of the most important things we have done with Divestitures was have leadership sit down and align on how they want all of the key stakeholders (staying or going) to feel and think about the experience and then used those as requirements for our design.
